Italian Folk
The Italian people that first came to Braintree first traveled to Boston. They had to try and assimilate within the culture that was already there, and they had to share their own cultures. The first Italian immigrants that came to Massachusetts arrived in the 1860's. Although there were not that many, about 200, they still managed to make a difference. The music that the Italians played usually consisted of the accordion, some bag pipes and some flutes. The Italians brought this music to Braintree, and some of it was considered a poem, that was eventually turned into a song. This type of poetry song is called "medieval ottava rima sung poetry".
Here is an example of a band called Domo Emigrantes playing Italian folk music:

In Italian folk music, a very common instrument called "the Zampogna Bagpipe" is used in order to make the music sound more Italian like. It is used mainly everywhere in Italy, making it so common. It normally plays the chords through Italian folk songs, allowing the chords to change and shift.
Here is a picture of the Zampogna Bagpipe:

Braintree has many historical places and churches, but one in particular suggests that there were Italian immigrants who brought their culture to the town. For example, the Saint Clair Parish which is located on Liberty street in Braintree, suggests that the Italians brought over their religion and expressed their culture with everyone.
There also are a ton of Italian restaurants in Braintree, which could be where music is played. For example, there is a restaurant called "Maria's", and it is heavily Italian based inside and out. It shares the Italian culture through food, and they play Italian music throughout the restaurant. There is also another restaurant which also holds live bands, that could play Italian folk music. It is called "Zef Cicchetti", and it is more Venice style. The restaurant's owner has been inspired by his father who was from Venice, so he created this place in order to express his Italian culture.
